Nature is as nature is... Damn parking police....

Removed the snow peas and planted four healthier specimens under the magical growing pyramid erected by the greenie. Added cucumbers too. Have to say I am a little bummed about how slowly everything is taking off, have harvested a few lettuce leaves and that is all. Thought this was peak growing season, maybe not.
Found redback spider in top of potting mix bag yesterday and watched it walk around for ages, what a beautiful looking spider. Found a crevice in a sandstone piece and not to be found this morning.
And finally, we got an $81 parking fine for leaving our car on our nature strip this week, I will be pursuing that one in court I think.... Sometimes our street is FULL of commuter cars and we can't park on the road and yet the council refused to implement two hour parking restrictions and fines us because there was no space on the road. A warning at least would have been reasonable, and we would have avoided doing it again.

Snow pea plants dying

Help, over the last week I have watched the snow peas dry up and shrivel. Got back from weekend away and they are well and truly past it. There has been plenty of water so it's not that. They had flowered and fruit was forming but alas no more. Any ideas?

Found a toadstool or two, do I need worry?

Very interesting article I found after listening to a podcast about the effects computers are having on our brains.

FIrst sighting

I have snow peas, three count them three, I will resist the urge to eat them now and allow nature to take it's course, but geez it's good.

Recent other experiences, disgusting, unbelievably poor customer service with Vodafone, looking for new provider but noone can give me any sunshine on who is any better. Have cancelled GPRS on my iphone to help keep bill below $1300 seen on last one. LLOOOOONNNG story, suffice to say I didn't pay it.

Found the afore mentioned box of veg from Dynamic Organics didn't last long at all, I was saving the eggplant for a great miso paste and sesame seed bake thing and it was mouldy skin within three days. Is that the way of the eggplant?

Have found a few old and new friends on facebook and enjoying seeing the commentary of their lives. School friends as far away as Bern in Switzerland, what a world.
